Ombré Brows
If you have additional questions you would like to ask before booking your appointment, please see our FAQ or Ask Emme.
Ombré Brows are sometimes called Powder Brows or Microshading. It’s a technique that's soft and light near the eyes and gradually gets darker towards the tails of the brows.
They have a smooth, but the natural finish and can be built up to resemble the look of darker makeup. Although it varies per person, but the intensity of the ombré effect is based on how much existing brow hair there is.
We use a small machine to gently insert pigment into the skin that looks very soft and misty. No hair strokes are placed. The brow is fully covered with a light color and a little pigment is placed at the start of the brow for a soft look. This is not the old, traditional block-looking brows.
No hair strokes
Lasts longer than other techniques
Minimal trauma to the skin
Fewer touch-ups required
Great for all skin types
Best for people who bleed or desire the most coverage possible

Are Ombré Brows Tattoos?
In a sense, Ombré Brows are tattoos because they involve placing pigment under the skin. However, they are a very modern form of tattooing because they do not go as deep into the skin as a normal tattoo and do not use the same type of ink. Ombré tattooing uses a powder instead of liquid ink.
